How to onboard through testnet

Abstract testnet is live since 26/07/2024 and is a great way to discover and try Abstract as a L2.

How does it work ?

Abstract testnet is powered by the ZK Stack and operates as an L2 on top of Ethereum Sepolia.

Developers can utilize this testnet to test their applications and ensure everything works smoothly before the mainnet launch.

As a user, testnet may be limited in terms of possibility, but you can still access and try it.

How to start ?

---

Firstly, you'll need to get ETH on Abstract testnet.

Abstract faucet

The first way to get ETH on Abstract testnet is to request ETH from the faucet.

• Go to the Testnet Portal

• Connect your wallet

• Add the testnet to your supported networks - It can be automatic depending on which wallet you are using, but you can do it manually :

Bridge to Abstract testnet

Alternatively, you can bridge ETH from Sepolia testnet to Abstract testnet, using the native bridge available.

• Go to the Testnet Portal

• Connect your wallet

• Choose "From Ethereum Sepolia Testnet" and "To Abstract Testnet"

• Input an amount

• Validate and bridge your tokens (this may take some time)

To start your journey in Abstract testnet, you can try:

Gasless demo NFT (by Cygaar)

One of the thing you can try on the testnet is to mint the free demo NFT (by @0xCygaar). This mint is free of gas fees, which is made possible by Abstract's native account abstraction and paymasters.

To try it, you'll need to :

• Go on the Paymaster Demo

• Connect your wallet

• Change network to Abstract

• Mint the gasless NFT !

Another thing you can try on the testnet is to mint the free demo NFT (by @MadHatt3rr). This mint is free of gas fees, which is made possible by Abstract's native account abstraction and paymasters.

To try it, you'll need to :

• Go on the Mint Site

• Connect your wallet

• Change network to Abstract

• Mint the gasless NFT ! (up to 5 by tx)

Another thing you can try on the testnet is to mint the free demo NFT (by @jarrodWattsDev). This mint is free of gas fees and does not require a private keys/seed phrases wallet, which is made possible by Abstract's native account abstraction and paymasters.

• Connect with passkey

• Mint the gasless NFT !
